The New Pony in Town: Chapter 22

As the carriage drew nearer to Poney Island, Yoyo heard the carnival music, he heard the happy scream of ponies, and he heard the pop of popcorn. He looked out and saw that there were rows and rows of condemned and closed down apartments lining the streets. But what he also saw lining the streets were homeless ponies, they were sitting on the sidewalk, leaning up against the walls of the apartments. He had never seen a more sorrowful sight. But he didn't let it get to him, since a Madam was sitting right across from him in the carriage. They drew closer to large iron gates that separated the happy land of Poney Island from the sad and less bustling city of Manehattan.

The iron gates slugged open as the carriage drew nearer, it went through and the gates slugged closed. Yoyo looked out to see somepony running at the gates. It scared him, for it seemed like that pony was running from something... Something frightening... or maybe trying to escape...

They went out of the carriage, and were overwhelmed by all the colors, sounds, and happy energy that flowed out of this place. He was met with a unwipeable smile on his face. He remembered this place, but he thought that it had gotten much newer when he first came here.

"So, where do you want to go first?" Madam Pie asked.

"How about a roller coaster?" Yoyo reply-asked.

"Great choice!" the Madam said. "Well, come on!"

With that, they rushed toward a wooden rollercoaster. The Madam demanded that they would go to the front of the line, for everything, it was always the front of the line, and the front of the coaster, and any other rides they went on. They got thrills, they got chills, and they got hungry. Soon, they went to get food, they had funnel cake, popcorn and cotton candy oh my. All of which, they had gotten at the front of the line to get. Yoyo looked at some of the ponies in line, they looked like they hadn't eaten in days. One was even just skin and bones.

"Did Pinkie doe this to them?" Yoyo thought. But he kept walking with Madam Pie.

Soon, they made it to the Ferris Wheel. They got on together, and they rode up and then stopped at the top. You could see all of Equestria.

"What a view, right?" Madam Pie said, smiling.

"Heh, yeah it is a pretty good view." Yoyo said smiling. Suddenly, the air got tense. Madam Pie looked at Yoyo, and moved closer to him. He grew rather uncomfortable as she moved closer. Suddenly, Madam Pie tried to kiss Yoyo, but Yoyo was quick, he moved his head away and held her head in place.

"Madam! Could you please stop!?" Yoyo said, dodging the kiss.

"But... Yoyo... I thought we had something..." Madam Pie said, saying his real name.

"B-But, how did you..."

"I already knew... Yoyo, be mine, and together, we can have all the fun we want. You said yourself that you've always considered your Amusement park your home. Let's make this your new home."

"... Thanks for the offer, but i'm sorry... you're not my type." Yoyo said.

"W-Who is she?" Madam Pie asked, twitching.

"I haven't found the one yet."

"W-Well why am I not the one for you?"

"Uhh..." Yoyo by this time noticed that she was twitching.

"Y-you don't lIke me?!" Pinkie asked, talking strange.

"Pinkie Pie?" Yoyo said, backing into the edge of the car they were in.

"It... is... MADAM PIE!!!!!" she screamed, finally giving the look of terror.

Yoyo was so scared that he jumped from the cart and out into the air, falling.

"N-No!" Madam Pie screamed.

Yoyo was screaming his lungs out, but what he forgot was that his horn was glowing, and with that glowing horn, came a daring rescue. He suddenly wasn't falling, but floating downward. He looked and saw that 20 helium balloons were under him providing a safe way down into the ground. Soon, he was on the ground and safe. If you defined safe as Madam Pie chasing after him when she got down the Wheel safe, he was super duper safe.

Yoyo ran through the park trying to get away from Madam Pie. But everytime he ran past a pony that was sad and unhappy in the park, a balloon was left behind, to put a smile on their face. And soon, all 20 balloons were given out, and 20 ponies experienced true joy, and hope.

Soon, Yoyo was cornered, stuck between the gates and Madam Pie. He tried to shrink down as much as he could, but he was not able to get away from her wrath. But then, the balloons started to glow, and the magic of those balloons and the joy of the 20 ponies came around to Yoyo and started gathering, suddenly, it blew back Madam Pie, shining a bright rainbow colored light.

"Wha- What is this?!" Yoyo said, looking at the light and then shielding eyes.

"AHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Madam Pie screamed.

Suddenly, the color light formed into a big hammer, and smashed the iron gates into pieces. A screw suddenly flew off and hit Pinkie in her flat hair, which inflated and pushed the dark aura out of her. The aura went into the bars of the iron gate, and then rusted away into nothing. The ponies in the park ran out of the park cheering and bouncing, happy to finally go home.

Yoyo went over to Pinkie and looked at her.

"Pinkie? You alright?" Yoyo asked.

"Yes... i'm sorry, i didn't want to hurt anypony..." Pinkie said, tearing up.

"It's alright. you didn't mean it, it was that dark aura."

Then, three balloons floated over to Yoyo. Their strings let loose, and they began to fly crazily in a perfect circle. The combined, and made a gold jewel on a golden necklace. A voice echoed.

"You have brought joy and hope to many ponies, may your wish become a reality." the voice echoed as Yoyo took hold of the necklace. Both Yoyo and Pinkie looked back to Ponyville and heard a zoom like a plane... or the Wonderbolts.
